Uganda’s solar energy sector is steadily registering promising results, a new study indicates.  The 2019 report further concludes that whilst the solar sector is showing progress, it is being hampered by a number of factors, including sales, marketing, management systems and access to investment.

The Economic Development Agency, Challenges Uganda, conducted the study on behalf of Uganda Solar Energy Association (USEA) as the first phase of the Business Development Services Hub Project, funded by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).

According to USEA Chief Executive Officer, Joyce Nkuyahaga, the report provides a benchmark for engaging stakeholders in the solar sector so as to address challenges member companies are experiencing.
